Ashtanga yoga is a traditional and ancient yoga practice that happens to be the yoga of choice for many sports people and pro tennis players. This is because it develops incredible strength, flexibility and agility in equal measure.
Ashtanga yoga is challenging and dynamic aimed at all ages and for improvers / intermediates, but beginners are welcome and can work to their own level.
Fiona Young has been practising Ashtanga yoga for over a decade and is a direct student of the Ashtanga Yoga Guru, as well as holding further qualifications in anatomy and physiology and massage.
Benefits of Ashtanga include:
- Increased Core strength
- Improved Postural awareness
- Improved Joint mobility
- Better muscle function and strength
- Tones and strengthens the whole body
- Improves quality of sleep
- Teaches you how to manage stress and anxiety
