Juniors play at Headstone from their first lessons through to representing the club in the Middlesex leagues. Coaching is run at the club by Headstone Tennis Coaching, and our junior teams compete against clubs across Middlesex every summer and winter.

Junior coaching

Coaching at the club is run by Headstone Tennis Coaching, our LTA qualified coaching team. The junior programme includes:

• Mini Tennis for ages 4 to 10
• Junior development for ages 10 to 18
• A performance pathway for committed players
• Club match play, as a step towards team tennis
• Holiday camps in every school holiday

Junior teams

Headstone enters junior teams in the Middlesex Youth & National League, which has a summer season (April to July) and a winter season (September to March). Depending on numbers each year, we enter boys’ and girls’ teams across the 10 & Under to 18 & Under age groups. A team match is made up of several singles and doubles rubbers.

Junior competitions and events

Alongside the leagues, juniors play in club competitions, and the club has hosted junior events such as the LTA Team Challenge, a family doubles cup where juniors partner an adult family member, and the Road to Wimbledon venue stage. Dates are sent to members once they are confirmed.

Juniors need to be members of the club to play in teams and club competitions.

Junior membership

Ages are taken on 1 May. There is a 10% family discount where one person is a full adult member. Full details are on the membership page.
