A range of competitive tennis opportunities are available for Juniors both within Headstone Tennis Club and also the ability to represent Headstone Tennis Club externally in organised leagues and tournaments. Competitions operate throughout the year and cater for the majority of abilities. A great way to test your tennis skills and ability in a competitive environment.
AEGON Team Tennis
Headstone Tennis Club enters a number of Junior teams in the AEGON Team Tennis league.
The Junior teams play across Boys and Girls in age groups: 18 & Under, 16 & Under, 14 & Under, 12 & Under and 10 & Under.
The competition operates annually between April and June.
Junior Middlesex League
Headstone Tennis Club enters a number of Junior teams in the Junior Middlesex League. The Junior teams play across a number of age groups across Boys and Girls:
- Mixed: 10 and Under
- Boys: 14 and Under, 16 and Under
- Girls: 14 and Under, 16 and Under.
The league operates between October and March.
Quorn Family Tennis Cup
Headstone Tennis Club is one of 75 venues in the country to host a Quorn Family Tennis Club event, where Junior ages 11-17 play doubles with an adult family member. This is a yellow ball event.
The Quorn Family Tennis Club event is a real fun event creating a family atmosphere.
The format is doubles pairs (can be mixed gender) with a 8 game pro set with no advantages (deciding point at deuce) in a round robin draw feeding to an elimination draw.
The tournament is usually run in the Summer. Look out for notifications for date of this year’s tournament!
Junior Team Challenge Event
Headstone Tennis Club is working in partnership with the LTA Regional team to create the LTA Team Challenge.
The Team Challenge launched in 2016 is a local, fun, team competition aimed at recreational standard Juniors. The one day team competition usually lasts 3 hours. The format consists of singles and doubles. This is a yellow ball event.

HSBC Road to Wimbledon
Headstone Tennis Club is a host venue for the HSBC Road to Wimbledon – start your journey to stardom!
A fun and competitive event for Junior 14 Years and Under and players rated 6.2 or higher. All participants receive a Wimbledon certificate. The winner (and potentially runner up) represent Headstone Tennis Club at the County finals.
Over 10,000 players participate in the Venue Stage with 1,000 progressing to a Counties final experience.
The Venue Stage at Headstone Tennis Club takes place between April and June.
