Congratulations to James and Sarah for winning the Lily Nickels tournament. The day was well attended in glorious sunshine and finished off with some delicious cake and tea!

Sarah said: “I really enjoyed playing in the tournament, the sun was shining & it was great to be outside playing tennis. It was also a bonus to win my first after being a member at Headstone for years! Thanks to James too!”

James added: “The Lily Nickels tournament was played in a very fun spirit. It’s a chance for players to play against others who they don’t normally play with and nice to interact socially with members. A great atmosphere with lots of enjoyment was seen throughout. It was nice to see a good turnout of members for it. Congratulations to Sarah for winning her first competition. She played very well especially in the last 2 rounds and coped well under the pressure to pull us though. Well done to Phil and Miranda for getting to the final also. Thanks to the organisers for arranging the social tournament.”
